For start-up businesses or social enterprises wanting to build solid foundations - and head-off surprises - this coaching package is ideal. We work together from wherever you are: in the thick of the planning stage or opening your doors next week.

The package of 8-sessions, based on the book Make It Your Business, leads you through:

  • Getting Started (people, location, equipment, time
  • Business Basics (name, set-up, structure, contracts, accounting, compliance, VAT, The Business Plan)
  • Pricing, Negotiation and Contracts (money, selling, AIDA)
  • Branding, Marketing and PR (logo, website, ideas, communication)
  • Developing and Managing Your Business (cashflow, customers, employees, suppliers, project management)
  • Relationships and Responsibilities (communication, assertiveness)
  • The big picture (your life context, ambitions, desires, setbacks, breakthroughs

Eight one-hour sessions are pre-booked over a three month-period, and take place in London/Berkshire or by telephone. The package includes a business plan review, project management templates, a start-up questionnaire and weekly email support. Discounted fees may be negotiated with Social Enterprises.

Established Business Package:

This coaching package is essential support for business/social enterprise owners who have been up and running for a year or two, and have first-hand experience of the pleasures and pitfalls of self-employment.   Businesses at this stage often experience work overload and/or the "success-is-just-round-the-corner" syndrome. This package helps you focus and develop coping mechanisms ... to walk up to that corner, turn it, and carry on towards your goals.

The package of 8-sessions leads you through:

  • A quick check of your progress to date against the Big Vision (changed?) and Big Plan (on track?)
  • 3C Review - Cashflow, Customers, Contracts
  • SWOT analysis - Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats
  • Revenue Generation   - focusing on the things that make money
  • Getting things done - systems, processes and time management
  • Deciding what not to do
  • Managing stress - developing healthy coping mechanisms
  • Work in Progress - start and complete development projects
  • Business image review - you, website, marketing material
  • The big picture (your life context, ambitions, desires, setbacks, breakthroughs)
