Coaching for business start-ups
Setting up a business can
be very rewarding not
only financially, but also in terms of personal satisfaction, freedom,
control, environment and work-life balance. That's not to
say there are no challenges - all business owners are sure
to have had moments of doubt and difficulty, but setting up a business
- big or small - is an exciting and empowering venture. Successful
business owners set off on this journey with whatever skills and
knowledge they've picked up in work/life along the way, good
ideas, bags of enthusiasm and a willingness to learn and
grow.
There is a lot of advice out there for
small businesses (including our book). All new business owners
have something to learn about the many practicalities of running
a business, whether that's
setting up a company, writing business plans, managing finance or
using technology. In my business advisor role, I can support you
with many aspects of the business ownership life-cycle: from having
an idea to getting going; from deciding where to work to raising
finance; from business planning to making sales, employing people
and growing or selling your business.
In my coaching role, I place equal importance on helping you plan
for what self-employment will be like on a personal level - discovering
your own unique style as a business owner and leader; how to overcome
practical and psychological barriers to self-employment; how to
stay focused and how to achieve your ambitions and financial targets
without sacrificing other important areas of your life.
